"The Digital Spatial Data/GIS Librarian is responsible for the daily operations of the Digital Spatial Data Clearinghouse. Responsibilities include: providing direct, general, and specialized reference service to digital spatial data collections; overseeing collection development, cataloging, archiving and maintaining of digital spatial data clearinghouse materials; working with Libraries Automation department to keep in operational order all computer and peripheral equipment related to the digital spatial data clearinghouse; providing digital spatial data instruction to faculty, staff and students as requested; consulting with Libraries staff to develop spatial data collections; and providing backup general reference services in the AGS Library. This position reports to the Curator of the American Geographical Society Library."Salary starts at $ 37,719.
